McLean Buchanan & Wilson Ltd is a family owned Glasgow based distributor, which merged in 2007 with the U.K.’s largest bolt manufacturer Cooper & Turner Ltd, to form a group of unrivalled capability to supply quality assured fasteners and fixings to the steel fabrication, construction and mechanical engineering industries. Not only do we supply products to users throughout the UK, we also ship considerable tonnages overseas.

Our origins date back to 1847 when Andrew McLean sold rivets to the Victorian shipbuilders on the banks of the river Clyde. Since then many changes have occurred resulting in a highly efficient stock management system dealing with 3,500 tonnes of stock, containing 20,000 different products valued in excess of £4M.

Quality is the key word in everything we do. The company was originally assessed to BS 5750 in 1989, and our current registration is to BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.  Quality doesn’t only refer to technical quality and quality assurance: at MBW it also refers to quality of service. Our expertise, dedication and determination to deliver a totally effective and professional service are paramount and set our company apart from our competitors.

MBW believe in continuous staff development to progress in an ever changing market, this has been acknowledged with the award of the coveted Investor In People status in 2002.
